Your Privacy Choices

This page summarises the privacy controls you have in the Heya app and how to use them. It does not replace our Privacy Policy, which explains in full what data we collect and why.

Location

• Allow or deny: the app asks for your location only while you are using it, never in the background. Location is optional: if you deny it, the app keeps working, but distances are not shown.
• Precise or approximate: where your phone supports it, you can allow precise or approximate location; the app works with either.
• Change it at any time: on iPhone, go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Heya; on Android, go to Settings › Apps › Heya › Permissions › Location (names can vary by device). You can also open these settings from the app: Profile › My Location.
• What happens to it: your coordinates are used only to calculate distances to partner centers for that request. They are not stored as a location history, not saved to your account, and not shared with centers.

Notifications

• Phone permission: push notifications are sent only if you allow them. To stop all of them, turn notifications off for Heya in your phone's settings.
• In the app: go to Profile › Settings to turn each type on or off: New deal alerts, Expiry reminders, and News & announcements.
• Your device's push token is removed when you sign out or delete your account.

Jameela AI Assistant

Jameela is optional. Heya does not store the content of your conversations, and your name and phone number are not sent with them. Please do not share sensitive personal or health details in the chat.

Creator Program Screenshots

• The app opens your photos only when you choose a screenshot to upload as proof for a Creator Benefit.
• Screenshots are kept in private storage and are seen only by authorized Heya team members who review creator content, never by partner centers or other members.
• If you replace a screenshot before it is reviewed, the previous one is deleted. All your screenshots are deleted when you delete your account, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Subscriptions

Heya Premium is billed by Apple or Google. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings at any time. Deleting your Heya account does not cancel it.

Delete Your Account

In the app, go to Profile › Settings › Delete Account and confirm. Your account and the data linked to it are deleted straight away and cannot be restored. If you can no longer sign in, use our account deletion page.
